Cedars-Sinai International Program Coordinator - Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, California

The International Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all medical arrangement associated with the consultations and treatment for international patients at Cedars Sinai Medical Foundation for an assigned site(s). Will serve as a liaison for communication between patients and their families and our medical group. Maintains ownership of the patient experience within the practice through performing various administrative tasks that encompass patient communications, development of outreach programs with a focus on international patient populations, provision of health education information, coordination or provision of translation services, management and analysis of patient information data bases, and development and coordination of educational conferences.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-stop personalized coordinating services for all patients assigned (international and local) processed through the department, beginning with the initial contact with the patient or healthcare provider until the treatment is completed

  • Schedule all appointments for international patients traveling to Cedars Sinai Medical Foundation

  • Completes special projects or other tasks on a timely basis as per departmental guidelines

  • Serve as a conduit for communicating medical information between the patient, patient’s family and healthcare providers here and abroad

  • Coordinate concierge services required to accommodate the special cultural needs of international patients

  • Assists with the production of written translations; set up files and monitor projects (editing, proofing, formatting and typesetting)

  • Coordinate and implement all patient outreach programs, including health fairs and community events

  • Develop patient letters; work with physicians to customize content

  • Develop program/practice-specific fact sheets

  • Creates new platforms to outreach to international patients to bring potential increased revenue for the medical group

  • Develops health education materials including forms, videos, articles to inform target population of health topic

  • Handles administrative functions, including letters, telephone, and surgical payments

  • Develops and plans conferences for the purpose of health education and patient outreach

  • Travel internationally multiple times a year

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

Five (5) years of ambulatory care setting experience preferred. Must be able to speak, read and write in French, Russian, Mandarin and/or Spanish preferred.
