- Summary of Essential Duties:
Assists parents of newborns with completing information worksheets.
Verifies all information is accurate and answer parents' questions about how to obtain birth certificates and other documents.
Follows up with Nursing staff for missing information.
Responds to record requests from Attorneys and court orders.
Demonstrates superior patient interviewing skills. Interacts with patients and performs job duties with sensitivity and attention to the patient population(s) being served.
Demonstrates collection skills. Able to determine and explain patient financial obligation and collect funds when appropriate.
The schedule for this position will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8:00am – 4:40pm with Wednesday and Sunday off.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience working in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle department, physician office, healthcare insurance company, and/or other revenue cycle related roles required
Experience with Birth Records preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
