physicians and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing a

variety of medically related tasks.

The Patient Service Representative supports the physician and

clinical staff in the delivery of health care by performing a wide range of

administrative related tasks to maintain a smooth and efficient front office

workflow.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greetpatients.

  • Collectco-payments/give receipts/reconcile payments/batch fee tickets.

  • Preparecharts.

  • Review patientdemographics and insurance information/registration.

  • Collectco-pay/insurance cards, copying required information.

  • Manage patientflow.

  • Maintainwaiting rooms.

Educational and/or Experience

  • High school diploma orequivalent.

  • Two to five (2-5) years ofexperience preferred.

  • Basic computer experience.

  • Provide customer serviceskills.

  • Experience with heavy phonevolume.

  • Ability to handle multipletasks.

  • Advanced knowledge of medicalterminology and insurance concepts (ability to problem solve and assistpatients).

  • Ability to schedule usingsummary search.

  • Be able to differentiatebetween CSMG & amp; CSHA, HMO, PPO, and POS.

  • Experience and understandingof California work comp protocols.
