Job Description
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles is actively recruiting a Transfusion Medicine physician to be part of a dynamic and collaborative group of physicians and physician-scientists. The Division of Transfusion Medicine includes a busy blood donor service as well as a state-of-the-art transfusion service, cell processing laboratory, and full-service therapeutic apheresis unit. All faculty hold academic appointments in the Cedars-Sinai Health System Professorial Program.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience in all aspects of transfusion medicine including immunohematology, optimal use of transfusion components, therapeutic apheresis, including stem cell and immune effector cell collection and processing, as well as the regulatory requirements necessary to contribute to the operation and management of a hospital-based donor center and transfusion service. Faculty in the Division of Transfusion Medicine participate in resident and fellow education and conduct independent and collaborative basic, translational, or clinical research. The successful candidate will enjoy working with a team of outstanding physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff.
The Division of Transfusion Medicine at Cedars Sinai supports a quaternary medical care facility with over 1000 inpatient beds and provides inpatient and outpatient care to a large and diverse population. Over 50,000 blood components are transfused annually in support of Level 1 trauma services, comprehensive cancer care, solid organ transplantation, hematopoietic stem cell and cellular therapies programs, and obstetric, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Transfusion medicine physicians provide clinical consultation in blood transfusion practice and application of therapeutic apheresis for multiple specialty practices and regularly interact with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest quality care for all patients. Faculty in transfusion medicine, along with residents and fellows, provide after-hours and weekend on-call coverage for all areas of the Division.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.
Pay Range: $252,276 - $373,495 Total Cash Compensation.

Qualifications
Board certification in clinical pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology, and board certification or eligibility in transfusion medicine is required. Current fellows and experienced transfusion medicine pathologists are welcome to apply (all ranks).
