We are looking for an Associate Director to lead the operation of Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center at Valley Oncology.

As the Associate Director, you will lead a mid to larger-size team of experienced professionals including team leads and/or supervisors over separate and distinct work streams, or a large complex program(s)/project(s) with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results for the department or business unit. You will focus on tactical and operational plans with short to mid-term impact (1-2 years) within department or function. You will help resolve moderately complex to hard problems. You may influence others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • You will plan, lead, direct and review the work of the team to ensure successful operational outcomes within the function.

  • You will be accountable for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems, or products to improve performance of job area.

  • You will establish key elements of tactical and operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the department.

  • You will develop new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the job division strategy.

  • You may have budget or P&L accountability for area of responsibility; ensure completion of work within the established budget.

  • Responsible for staff development. Provides a supportive environment that encourages staff members to increase their education and breadth of experience to more effectively meet the needs of the organization in its current state as well as planning for future requirements.

  • You will conduct performance reviews on staff and develop performance improvement plans as required.

Educational Requirements:

  • BSN required

  • Master's degree in related field preferred

License/Certification Requirements:

  • Current CA RN license

  • OCN or relevant specialty certification or obtain within 1 year

  • BLS from American Heart Association

Experience:

  • 8+ years of oncology experience with 3+ years management experience strongly preferred.

  • Ambulatory Infusion experience strongly preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent: Standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing

  • Occasional: Repetitive motions, eye/hand/foot coordination, lifting (10 lbs), carrying (10 lbs)

  • Rare: Stooping, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, pushing (10 lbs), pulling (10 lbs)
