Cedars-Sinai Sr Budget Financial Analyst - Accounting in Encino, California

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating the design, development and maintenance of reporting systems for business operations and internal management of Budget. This individual functions as an internal senior consultant to the management of the department that includes coordinating and developing of divisional operating and capital equipment budgets, financial and statistical analysis, financial and statistical computer database development and management, special project coordination and management.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researches and writes presentations and reports.

  • Prepares project reports for management.

  • Confers with other staff to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

  • Reviews various key reports generated from Axiom to develop standardized reports for management.

  • Builds Excel templates for reporting information.

  • Develops greater reporting capabilities via the Axiom system in conjunction with other managers.

  • Creates monthly report packages to distribute to the various business operations.

  • Development of operational wage and non-wage budget and capital equipment/renovation budgets for the Medical Delivery Network.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of all budget databases and preparation of budget analyses for management.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Education:

Bachelor degree in Finance, Healthcare Management or related field of study required.

Experience:

  • Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in reviewing and interpreting patient medical records using CPT and ICD10 coding systems required.

  • Three (3) years experience examining and reviewing reimbursement data for trend analysis required.
