Cedars-Sinai Sr Manager - Physician Network Development in Encino, California

The Senior Manager is responsible for taking the lead role in growing Cedars-Sinai Medical Network's (CSMN) high quality, integrated provider network in existing target markets and emerging new markets as defined by the strategic growth plan. This position will handle cross-promotion of physicians and programs to drive market share among Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation (CSMCF) affiliates and facilities as well as Cedars-Sinai (CS) hospitals and faculty. The position will be the lead field Manager in driving enrollment growth through: programmatic business plan development and execution; reduction of clinical leakage; strategic marketing plan development and deployment of tactics for medical network affiliates/physicians; outreach to brokers, chambers, community and civic organizations; planning and oversight of special events; and, development of strategy to drive physician practice growth. Will be supervising the performance of the Physician Network Development Managers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handles all activities related to market research and assessment, particularly centered on target markets.

  • Provides direction and supervises day-to-day activities of the Managers.

  • Creates opportunities to measurably grow patient enrollment into CSMN.

  • Develops affiliates and generates new business growth through development/execution of strategic business plans and tactical marketing plans and materials.

  • Finds opportunities to reduce clinical leakage from CSMN and implement tactics to redirect and grow referrals into the medical network.

  • Advises communications to advance the position and growth of CSMN.

  • Leads CSMN’s broker and community outreach strategy in all target markets to develop new relationships and enrollment opportunities.

  • Advises comprehensive work plans for all medical network special events within established timelines and budgets.

  • Continuously communicates with the VP of Physician Recruitment and Network Development regarding department work assignments and employee relations status in a clear and timely manner.

  • Leads the development of population health strategy and drafting of corresponding strategic roadmap in new markets to identify and grow a high-quality, comprehensive medical network and nourish the corresponding CS hospital and ancillary affiliate(s).

  • Working with all Network Development staff, develop and input the departmental budget for review/approval by the Vice President, Physician Recruitment and Network Development.


Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Science or equivalent required. Master’s degree in Public Health or Health Services Administration preferred.

Work Experience:

Five (5) years of Health care experience – preferably within a health system, hospital, or medical group setting required.

Five (5) years of proven track record in physician recruitment and relations, strategic and/or business planning, new program development and marketing or equivalent education and experience required.
