Summary of Essential Job Duties:
The Anesthesia Technician I is an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team and will operate under the general direction of the Team Leader.
In this role you will:
Assist the licensed anesthesia provider in the acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.
Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of healthcare colleagues and patients.
You will adapt well and flexible to changing situations and demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills.
You will Provide support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
Your Responsibilities will include but not limited to assisting the licensed anesthesia provider in various settings.
You will perform duties under the direct supervision of the licensed provider.
You will provide support for routine surgical cases through preparation.
You will complete maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia,
You will clean, sterilize, disinfect and stocking supplies.
You will order and maintain the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
•Associate Degree in Health Science preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
•Current certification Basic Life Support (BLS) approved by the AHA
•Two years experience in a healthcare environment preferred
•Full command (verbal and written) of the English language
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
