Cedars-Sinai Clinical Lab Scientist,Technical Manager in Los Angeles, California

The Technical Manager has direct responsibility for the supervision of a Pathology and Laboratory Medicine division or program. In this capacity, the Technical Manager is responsible for the organization of work, supervision of employees, staff development, expense control, quality assurance, process improvement, and problem solving in the delivery of services and related programs within the division. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the developmental issues of the patient population(s) served.Educational Requirements:

•A Master's degree in a biological science, chemistry, or medical technology; or an appropriate Baccalaureate Degree with ASCP or AAB Board of Registry certification in appropriate specialty, or equivalent education and experience.

•Full command (verbal and written) of the English language.

License/Certification Requirements:

A valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license appropriate for the area of responsibility.

Experience:

Five years of relevant clinical experience with at least three years in the area of specialty.

Some experience in supervision and teaching, as well as professional involvement such as membership on committees, publication of papers and presentation of conferences, desirable.

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, patients, physicians and other customers of the medical center.
