Cedars-Sinai Clinical Research Associate I - Department of Surgery - Gangi Lab in Los Angeles, California
As a Clinical Research Associate I, you will assist in all aspects of health services research projects, including data entry and review, basic statistics. Additionally, you will be expected to assist with searching for scientific literature and producing & organizing presentations, abstracts, reports, and manuscripts. The research assistant would be on the Surgical Oncology Research team which focuses on multiple methodologies, including chart review studies, participating in study design and trial design, and writing of IRB protocols and amending as necessary. Based on experience, will have the opportunity to take on projects as lead with opportunities to present at scientific meetings and publish.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
Conduct searches using PubMed/Medline and other online sources; order articles online; and organize/facilitate screening for literature reviews.
Draft study plans, protocols, and other study-related documents; circulate them to investigators and research personnel for approval.
Manage and review incoming raw data, track related timelines, and communicate with research personnel.
Draft journal articles, research abstracts, posters, and presentations; manage submissions to journals and conferences.
Quality check reports.
Help with administrative tasks, such as tracking timelines, and participating in submissions of abstracts etc.
Communicate effectively within the project team.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent computer/software knowledge and skills, including MS Office and managing databases; and ability to adapt and gain comfort with unfamiliar software and programs.

Experience with programming in SAS and/or Adobe Acrobat Pro, a plus.

BA/BS degree in sciences or healthcare-related discipline OR
MA/MS/MPH degree (or other advanced degree) in sciences or healthcare-related discipline
- SoCRA certification preferred
