The Cedars-Sinai Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CS-CORE) is a group of academicians that supports high quality research efforts using a health services research model. Members of the center have published extensively in the fields of healthcare quality measurements, patient-reported outcome (PRO) development, healthcare decision making, health economics and digital health sciences.

The Clinical Research Data Specialist I manages the data for assigned research studies. This will include, designing forms for data collection, clinical data abstraction, processing data, maintaining record systems, and producing project reports for studies. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs clinical data collection/abstraction.
Processes clinical data using a range of computer applications and database systems to support cleaning and management of subject or patient data.
Produces project reports.
Maintains the accuracy, integrity and security of complex, large computerized records systems.
Understands regulations, policies, protocols, and procedures to control and maintain accurate records.
Performs data searches and other related administrative tasks.
Ensures compliance with all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
Maintains research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.
Participates in required training and education programs.
Department-Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit new IRB submissions and modifications.
Recruit and enroll subjects for VR, FitBit, and other digital health projects.
Coach patients on using digital sensors and assist with patient focus groups.
Designs surveys.
Analyze qualitative survey data.
Education:
Bachelor's degree is required.
Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Experience in a similar position is highly preferred.
