What will you be doing in this role?

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and lead craft specialist, accomplishes plumbing and preventative maintenance, installs, inspects, operates and repairs major/minor plumbing utilities, medical gases, and drinking water systems. Sets priorities and handles multiple projects or assignments and meets completion schedules within established time frames. Performs preventative maintenance, on plumbing utilities and equipment. Complete assigned service workorders, and preventive maintenance using the department workorder system. As appropriate, reports corrections/repairs to Operations Supervisors and/or lead Craft Specialists and Senior Craftworkers. Maintain proper paperwork, including but not limited to Infection Control Permits, Ceiling Tile Permits, Hot Work Permits, Maintenance Activity Reports, Shutdown forms. Performs other related duties as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains proper paperwork, including but not limited to Infection Control Permits, Ceiling Tile Permits, How Work Permits, Maintenance Activity Reports, Shutdown forms.

  • Maintains general plumbing components to include toilets, urinals, faucets, hose bibs, drains, and associated valves.

  • Installs, repairs, or replaces domestic hot and cold water lines, waste lines, deionized and reverse osmosis lines, medical gas, steam, chilled water, heating water, and associated valves.

  • Maintains and performs a dynamic preventative maintenance program.

  • Repairs and replaces domestic drinking water systems.

  • Installs, tests, and repairs all sizes of backflow prevention devices.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs water, waste, medical gas, steam, chill water, heating hot water, and natural gas utility distribution systems.

  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED - Preferred

  • Two (2) plus years' at an apprentice level of the craft or trade experience

  • Electrical and Mechanical background.

  • Understanding the State of California Uniform Plumbing Code.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency is a requirement.

Licenses :

  • Journeymen Plumber's License // Journey -Level City License from the Department of Building and Safety.
