As a per-diem night shift CT Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 8-hours per shift with alternating weekends. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
Summary of Essential Duties:
Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
Administer contrast material
Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
Cleans and disinfects exam rooms
Follow infection control and safety guidelines
Education:
- Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program required
License/Certifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) required
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
Venipuncture and Fluoroscopy certifications required
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist required
