What will I be doing in this role?

Managing specific fundraising service lines, units, areas or other tribute fundraising campaigns.

In coordination with other staff (Project Manager), draft donor correspondence, gift agreements and departmental/project one sheets. Gather background and giving history on major gift donors for fundraising strategies/cultivation.

Coordinate VIP donor activities. This includes drafting briefing memos, prospect biographies and giving history. Encourage attendance at donor meetings/events, including follow-up.

Work with Patient Relations on specific donor requests.

May interact with Purchasing, Finance and vendors handling internal requisitions, (i.e., inventory requests for office supplies, using PeopleSoft, and for processing check requests to ensure payments to vendors are handled timely and effectively).

In coordination with other staff (Project Manager), successfully complete and manage all aspects leading up to donor cultivation and stewardship events. Obtain content of donor impact reports. Initiate detailed outlines for annual service line/unit reports and monitor and track operating expenses/budgets.

In coordination with other staff (Project Manager), join meetings related to donor stewardship strategies to maintain action plans and follow-up.

May develop queries to enhance review of ongoing reports needed by department chairs and conduct ongoing audits of fund accounts for the departments we service.

Review all donor correspondence and mass mailing lists for donor publications for accuracy; suggest edits to correspondence on donor acknowledgments produced by Gift Administration team.

Serve as liaison with other internal departments that support major gift initiatives (i.e., work closely with Donor Relations to update donor digital wall and on distribution of major donor benefits or work with Foundation team to ensure newly awarded grants are captured and recoded in Raiser’s Edge. Work with Research Administration, Finance and departmental research teams to ensure grant proposals and budgets receive proper internal approvals prior to submission.

Schedule meetings with internal staff and donors. Draft agendas and make copies, coordinate food orders, order AV, create name tents, etc. Ensure smooth running of meeting.

May serve as Kronos editor, providing informational services, reliable backup editing, double check and sign off for respective service line/unit

Qualifications

Requirements:

•High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related major preferred.

•A minimum of 2 years of Office and administrative experience required.
