Cedars-Sinai Echo Sonographer I - Days - Per Diem in Los Angeles, California

The Per Diem Cardiac Sonographer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will help assist in all procedures performed in the Noninvasive Cardiac Laboratory (Echo) and is a member of the Echo Laboratory. He/she provides a safe-patient care environment. The per diem Sonographer Level has the responsibility and accountability for recording 2 Dimensional Echocardiograms/Doppler/Color Flow examinations using ultrasound equipment to provide data for diagnosis of heart ailments. The sonographer demonstrates proficiency in the performance of all procedures and competency in the use of all related ultrasound equipment and computers.

Days/Hours: Day shift (mostly weekday coverage)

Educational Requirements:

•Graduated from a 2 year accredited ultrasound school.

License/Certification Requirements:

•American Heart Association BLS certified.

•RDCS or CCI required

Experience:

•Must meet all requirements necessary to perform 2 Dimensional ultrasound procedures deemed appropriate by Medical Director of Echo Laboratory.

•At least 1 year of experience as a full-time sonographer.

•Full verbal and written command of the English language, ability to write legibly, ability to listen and follow directions.

•Self motivated.

•Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
