Summary Of Essential Job Duties:
Provides financial support to the Comprehensive Transplant
Ensures compliance with theorganization's financial procedures.
Verifies and obtains insurance authorizations prior to Evaluation,Transplantation, transplant related procedures, diagnostic tests, andconsults.
Assists with patient insurancebilling and reimbursement.
Facilitatesinpatient admission of patients for transplant, hospital to hospital transfersand direct admits from clinic.
Providesfinancial counseling to patients and their families.
Monitors and identities changes inregulations and legislation with regard to 3rd party reimbursement for organtransplantation and surgical procedures.
Documents all necessary information in CS-Link/Phoenix.
Ensures that all insurance information inCS-Link/Phoenix is current and correct.
High School diploma, Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum 3 years healthcare Insurance eligibility, verification, transplant billing/collections experience.
Thorough knowledge of Transplant Case Rates, cashing billing regulations, and collection practices.
Problem-solving ability is essential.
Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and medical terminology skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills.
Experience in a medical office setting/scheduling of patients.
Thorough demonstrated knowledge in Managed Care, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Capitation Admission requirements.
