Cedars-Sinai Imaging Administrative Specialist - Days - Part Time in Los Angeles, California

As a part time day shift Imaging Administrative Specialist, the Administrative Specialist for Imaging Systems will assure the timely provision of all relevant digital (and other media) imaging information for radiologist interpretation and physician review. The Administrative Specialist will assure the integrity and
availability of information data transmitted between transcription vendor system and the department information system (Radiant). The administrative specialist performs a quality check on all images nominated from cloud technology and determines if these should be sent to PACs or to the vendor neutral archive (VNA) for future reference. The Admin Specialist can provide support to the radiologists to assure that images are queued correctly in the radiologists worklist. These functions will be performed with a continual emphasis on workflow process improvement, increased productivity, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include the effective use of all relevant computer systems (PACS/Radiant/Life Image/voice recognition) and telecommunications equipment, including desk phones, cellular phones, and pagers. Consistent application of customer service excellence, communication, and interaction techniques. Maintains competency skills including the ability to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds. Appropriate interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the Medical Center. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
Hours: 8:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m
Monday - Friday
High School diploma or its equivalent. College level courses in information technology is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in computer functions including Windows. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Medical/Imaging informatics experience preferred. Medical terminology preferred.
Frequent sitting and standing; occasional walking and bending; occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity is acceptable for performing duties of this position. Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients, and other customers.
