A Little More About What You Will be Doing
The CRT Lead Tech is responsible for support of technical staff in the Imaging Department. Assures that high quality clinical services are provided in an expeditious and cost effective manner, meeting the needs of patients, referring clinicians and radiologists. Resolves service delivery issues in a timely and professional manner. These functions are carried out under the general supervision of the Imaging Supervisor, in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
Maintains and order supplies for the Imaging Department
Reviews status of staff certifications and update Tech Certification Log
Orients and train x-ray staff and temp x-ray staff on x-ray equipment, systems, standard workflow and policies and procedures
Performs competency checks to evaluate technologist’s skills
Monitors and assess Imaging workflow, perform observations of Imaging staff, and provide suggestions for opportunities to improve
Works in collaborative role with other managers and related offices or organizations
Acts as a role model in providing care; precepts new staff
Assists Imaging Department with monitoring and performance measures, and designing methods for improving the quality of care and services
Assures sites provide an environment of care that supports patient safety
Coordinates service calls with vendors for routine maintenance and equipment service calls
Assists with PACS quality assurance, provides feedback and correct PACS errors as needed
Provides monthly Imaging analysis and productivity reports
Maintains suite readiness for regulatory audits
Assists in creation and revision of imaging manuals and job aids
Reviews and provide feedback on various radiologic reports
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Vocational or Technical diploma preferred
Experience
- 5 years as an X-Ray Technician in an outpatient clinical/medical office setting preferred
Licenses/Certification
Imaging CA Radiologic Tech (CRT) required
Secondary Certification in one or more of the following is required: CRT Fluoroscopy permit or ARRT certified MRI, CT, Sonography, or Quality Management
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
