Job Responsibilities:

The OR/Anesthesia Logistics Technician, under the direction of a licensed care giver, and after education and demonstration of competency, performs a variety of direct patient care activities or tasks specific to the unit/needs of the patient population. The OR/Anesthesia Logistics Technician is primarily accountable for transporting supplies and equipment interdepartmentally and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds in all age groups. He/she identifies safety concerns in the age related population; institutes additional protective measures to provide a safe environment, and identifies normal growth and developmental milestones in neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Education Requirement:

High school diploma or equivalent.

License Requirement:

Basic Life Support Certification.

Experience Required:

•Full command (verbal and written) of the English language, sufficient to carry out the duties identified in this job description.

•Knowledge of therapeutic positioning techniques preferred.

Physical Demands:

The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
