Cedars-Sinai Management Assistant I - Biomedical Imaging Research Institute in Los Angeles, California

As a Management Assistant I you will provide administrative support for the Biomedical Imaging Research Institute (BIRI) team.

Duties will involve:

  • processing human resources and payroll transactions

  • maintaining personnel files

  • reviewing and editing the time recording system

  • providing information to staff in accordance with policy

  • scheduling meetings and interacting with other departments will be essential in this role.

The Management Assistant will demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and underlying management structure of BIRI, the BMS Department and of the larger Health System in organizing and prioritizing work, establishing procedures and systems and ensuring the orderly and timely flow of the business through the office.

This role requires excellent computer skills and a very comfortable working knowledge of Windows based applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. We are searching for a Management Assistant who takes initiative to work proactively and present issues with solutions to management. They can work in a fast-paced environment and are equally successful in both team and self-directed settings and will handle all work in a professional and confidential manner.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

N/A

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in professional office setting.

  • Experience with scheduling meetings and assembling agendas, planning and hosting monthly programs.

  • Must possess excellent computer skills and a very comfortable working knowledge of Windows based applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

  • Ability to sit, stand walk without difficulty

  • Ability to walk across campus and travel between campus buildings
