As a Neurophysiology Lab Supervisor, you will direct a team that cares for patients diagnosed with a brain or nerve condition, seeking the most advanced care from top specialists in the field. Cedars-Sinai is a leader in the treatment of more than 150 complex neurological disorders, and conducts research that brings new hope for patients and caregivers. Summary of Essential Duties:
Assigns and reviews the work of all technologists, in a full range of activities including customer/patient service, Human Resources, purchasing, neurodiagnostic testing, supply and equipment procurement, policy and procedure development, etc.
Responsible for reviewing and updating systems and processes to keep them efficient and in compliance with CSHS policies, JCAHO, and other outside agency requirements.
Provides leadership to neurodiagnostic technologists, interviewing and recommending their hire, scheduling their work, training, assignments, reviewing their work, initiating corrective or disciplinary action, participating in performance reviews, recommending merit increases, scheduling a vacation, providing for coverage of functional areas in times of worker absence.
Assist with neurodiagnostic testing as needed and appropriate.
Education:
Associate's Degree in Neurophysiology or related clinical field required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
License/Certifications:
CNIM from the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring required
BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience with progressive neurodiagnostic technology responsibilities required
Proficiency in IOM required
At least 2 years of administrative experience, demonstrating ability to independently establish and administer office procedures to include business practices and procedures required
