Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, the Psychology Fellow evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the prescription of the physician. The Psychology Fellow provides assessment and psychotherapeutic support to the patient and caregiver(s) as well as consultation with the Rehabilitation team. The Psychology Fellow provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics; the Plan for the Provision of Care to Patients, the Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement Plan and Patient Education Plan. Competency skills include the ability to provide care maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.
- Applicants for postdoctoral fellowships must have attended APA-accredited doctoral programs in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, and will have completed an APA-accredited Internship prior to the start date.
- Neuropsychology Fellows will be license eligible in the state of California.
- Applicants for postdoctoral fellowships must have attended APA-accredited doctoral programs in Clinical or Counseling Psychology with clinical experience in neuropsychology, and, prior to the start date, will have completed an APA-accredited Internship with specialized training in neuropsychology.
