health care by performing a variety of medically related tasks.
The Patient Service Representative supports
the physician and clinical staff in the delivery of health care by performing a
wide range of administrative related tasks to maintain a smooth and efficient
front office workflow.
Job Duties and Responsibilities, in this job you will:
co-payments/give receipts/reconcile payments/batch fee tickets.
demographics and insurance information/registration.
co-pay/insurance cards, copying required information.
Take voice mail
messages off phones and direct appropriately.
triage calls, directing to appropriate individuals or departments.
and check-out functions.
Handle all MD requests.
patients with ancillary and specialty providers.
Educational and/or Experience
diploma or equivalent.
Two to five
(2-5) years of experience preferred.
heavy phone volume.
handle multiple tasks.
knowledge of medical terminology and insurance concepts.
schedule using summary search.
Be able to
differentiate between CSMG & amp; CSHA, HMO, PPO, and POS.
understanding of California work comp protocols.
