Cedars-Sinai Patient Service Representative II - Liver Transplant - Full-Time (Day Shift) in Los Angeles, California
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) provides administrative support to the Hepatobiliary Surgery/Liver Transplant Surgical teams. Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving skills in applying detailed knowledge of the responsibilities. Receive and triage phone calls in a timely manner.
Essential duties include but are not limited to: answering phone calls from patients, scheduling patient appointments, filing, faxing, calling patients to remind them of their appointments, prepping patient charts for clinic, gathering clinical reports for doctor/coordinator review, data collection, database entry, scan records into the database, upload records into CS-Link. Must have excellent and clear communication skills (oral and written). Must be able to follow up on tasks until completed and update the team. Must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment. Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Bachelor's Degree or two years of college education preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting/scheduling of patients.
Ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short-time lines, prioritize and organize work and complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
Problem-solving ability is essential.
Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; basic understanding of medical terminology.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook required.
