Summary of Essential Duties:
As the Physician Assistant, you will oversee care for the patients in the Cardiac Surgery ICU ranging from CABG and valve replacement/repairs to implantable VADs, Heart and Lung transplants, ECMO, aortic dissections, and aneurysm repairs. In addition, you will perform bedside procedures within the scope of service, write progress notes, participate in daily rounds, write orders, dictate discharge notes, and participate in hospital wide quality improvement initiatives. You can look forward to collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
Graduate from a PA program approved by Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
Valid California PA license
PA certification issued by national Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
DEA License(or eligible to obtain)
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support certification
Acute care hospital experience is a must
1+ years experience in Cardiac Surgery
