Summary of Essential Duties:
Provide Pre op and Post op assessments of patients, provide and/or assist in the follow up care and the OR.
First assist on all cases including suture skills equal to that of the surgeon, knowledge of anatomy of all cases, knowledge of latest surgical techniques and ability to contribute intelligent input into the surgical procedure.
Write orders in Recovery Room, ICU floor, and follow patients and write daily progress notes
Maintain clear communication with the attending surgeon and any consultants regarding patient status both pre and post discharge
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required
Current, unrestricted California PA license required
DEA License required or eligible to obtain
National PA certification
1+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant
Experience in Spine or Orthopedics preferred
Experience with Pediatrics preferred
