Cedars-Sinai Program Manager - Center for Cardiac Arrest Prevention - Smidt Heart Institute - Chugh Lab in Los Angeles, California

As a Program Manager in our Center for Cardiac Arrest Prevention group, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a mid to large scale recognized organizational program. Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day program operations and administrative activities. Contribute to the strategic planning, design, development and implementation of program objectives, procedures, processes and standards related to Heart Institute website and collateral creation, marketing, and outreach.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with Marketing & Communication and Client Services departments, along with leaders across the organization and other partners in the administration of the program. Identify and define any logistics, action items or information needed to maintain operations.

  • Initiate, lead, and serve as the primary point of contact for all Heart Institute website content.

  • Identify weaknesses in existing marketing and website presence, and in collaboration with marketing and communication team, initiate and develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints for the Heart Institute Initiatives.

  • Interface with internal/external stakeholders to maintain and further develop program growth and outreach activities.

  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and organizes resources to meet program objectives; is responsible for identifying participants

Department specific essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Serves as Center resource for scientific initiatives and major research projects.

  • Independently and as part of a team, develops and implements research programs, including project planning.

  • Participates in the research and academic activities of the Center.

  • Prepares grant proposals and assists PI in authoring manuscripts for publication, books for publication; and prepares presentations for both expert and lay audiences.

  • Works closely with Center Director and is knowledgeable in the area of research specialization.

  • Represents the interests of the department in inter-and intra-institutional research projects; provides expertise for research collaborations.

  • Maintains excellent relationships with colleagues, locally, nationally, and internationally.

  • Superior communication skills for interactions with faculty, administrators, and employees.

  • Attends national meetings and conferences and identify potential collaborators and research sponsors.

  • Perform special projects as assigned.

  • May function as bridge between laboratory, translational, and clinical research programs.

  • May be responsible for research process improvement, quality assurance, and problem solving for the department.

  • Maintains research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.

Department specific job summary:

As a Program Manager, you will work in close collaboration with the Director for the Center for Cardiac Arrest Prevention to implement research programs, including project planning, identifying funding sources, preparing grant proposals, and presenting results for possible publication. Identifies potential collaborators and research sponsors and maintains relationships with colleagues and funding agencies.

Educational requiorements:

  • High School Diploma is required

  • Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred

  • Master's Degree is strongly preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum five to sevel (5-7) years experience preferred in directly related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven experience developing marketing and website materials.

  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.

  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.

  • Editorial or marketing and experienced preferred in adhering to internal style guides are necessary.

  • Working experience to promote and foster participation/collaboration among individuals and groups.
