Cedars-Sinai has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse on the IV team.
As a member as our IV Team:
You will act as a resource to nursing staff for assistance in starting IVs; assistance in starting/restarting peripheral infusion; accessing portacath/passport; central line dressing change; epidural cath connection; assessment of infusion therapy; Verge audit of Curos; ultrasound guided peripheral infusion; etc.
You will administer chemotherapy in areas where the staff are not chemo certified.
You will works closely with the chemotherapy Committee in revising /updating the chemotherapy policy
you will do IV certification of nursing staff (RNs); education; and participates in the use of skills lab.
You will contributes in the review of IV therapy policy & procedure
You will participates in performance improvement program; evidence based research for best nursing practice
- Graduate from accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
A valid California Registered Nurse License.
American Heart Association, BLS
Nationally recognized specialty certification
Eighteen months or more acute care experience required.
Meets clinical criteria and protocol for CN III
Meets specialty specific clinical competencies /certificate on I.V. Therapy/Chemotherapy in pediatrics and adult population. CRNI preferred & or other appropriate National Nursing Certificate.
Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues
