Cedars-Sinai Registered Nurse - Heart and Lung Transplant Coordinator - On-Call in Los Angeles, California

transplantation, the Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center is one of the

This is aremote on-call position with a 24-hour shift schedule (7:00am - 7:00am). Youwill be required to take patient calls from home and also participate inmeetings in-office. Required hours will be 6-7 shifts per month.

As a Clinical

Program Coordinator, Transplant on the Heart and Lung Transplant team, you will

screen initial calls from the OPO, review and manage the EHR candidate wait

list, review all offers with the appropriate physician teams to arrange and

organize donor procurement and transplant candidate preop. You will serve as a

reference for the members of the interdisciplinary team as needed for

transplant specialty services. This role also includes participation in

education and outreach activities related to organ allocation and

transplantation to patients, healthcare providers and the community.

  • Triagepatient calls after-hours and over the weekend

  • Participatein the development of guidelines, protocols, pathways, and otherperformance improvement activities as required for the On-Call CPC role

  • Engagein research activities.

  • Actas a patient advocate throughout the patient care process.

  • Representthe Medical Center at regional and national meetings/conferences.


  • BSNdegree required


  • Current,unrestricted California RN License required

  • Specialtycertification required (preferably CCTN or CCRNAcute/Critical CareNursing or PCCNProgressiveCare NursingCertification)

  • CurrentBLS from the American Heart Association required


  • Aminimum of 5 years of nursing experience required

  • Atleast 3 years of Acute care, including minimum of 1 year Critical Careexperience, Cardiac setting required

  • Organtransplantation experience required (for Remote Team)

  • Demonstrationof excellent organizational skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • Demonstratedknowledge of case management required

  • Experiencein data management required
