The Cedars-Sinai Pain Center was established with the mission to improve the quality of the lives of individuals who suffer acute, chronic, and cancer pain, as well as those with facial disorders and diseases.
Pain is a condition that affects the daily life and financial security of hundreds of thousands of individuals and their families. It is a complex, challenging problem, requiring careful investigation of symptoms and specialized care. For persons suffering from acute chronic and cancer-related pain, the Cedars-Sinai Pain Center offers a full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment techniques, as well as inpatient consultation services.
Essential Job Duties:
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care.
Consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes his/her knowledge base and proficiency skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultants and resource personnel.
Demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within nursing at the unit service and institutional levels.
Applies clinical knowledge regarding standard pattern of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings.
May assume responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights, and meeting customers' expectations.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required
Bachelors of Science - Nursing preferred
Active California Registered Nurse License
American Heart Association ACLS and BLS
Specialty certification preferred
Pain Management certification highly preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in one of the following required: Procedural, Critical Care, OR, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency Room,
Proficient IV skills.
