Cedars-Sinai Research Associate II - Underhill Lab in Los Angeles, California
The Cedars-Sinai Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute (IBIRI) is hiring a Research Associate II (RAII).
IBIRI is a multidisciplinary basic, translational, and clinical research program devoted to Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. Under the direction of Dr. David Underhill, the institute is seeking a talented and highly motivated candidate to join our laboratory. The Underhill Laboratory is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms by which some white blood cells, called macrophages and dendritic cells, recognize microbial pathogens and direct inflammation.
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in biological sciences required
Two (2) years of laboratory experience
Understanding of general research objectives
Familiar with routine laboratory procedures, experimental protocols, and overall lab organization
Applicant must be highly motivated and able to work independently
Must have superior interpersonal, communication and organization skills and the ability to work across company disciplines and functional units, and computer application experience
Must possess computer skills to include, but not limited to, Excel and Word
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple clerical trials, and attention to details
