What you be doing in this role:

The individual is the primary sales representative, responsible for successfully promoting the use of Cedars-Sinai specialty oncology services, to referring entities including physicians, physician groups, and IPAs. The Specialist executes daily, in-person sales calls/presentations, and provides strong customer service resulting in increased oncology care referrals to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC).

The incumbent understands and stays abreast of the services, programs and products offered by Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center and promotes and shares this information to potential referral sources. Sells and promotes Cedars-Sinai Services and programs by making sales calls and holding face to face office visits with the objective of increasing referrals from assigned geography. Responsible for growth of existing accounts and establishment of new clients.

Serves as the account lead for referring entities, tailors daily sales calls/in-person meetings to client needs, and acts as a liaison between the account/referring entities and Service Lines/specialty areas. Use analytics to create strategic selling plans to maximize local territory opportunities and organizational priorities. Ability to identify customers by segment and execute accordingly. Collaborates with the Managed Cared team, referring entities and health plans to initiate or recommend new components for existing contracts in addition to LOA’s and MOU’s. Participates in team discussions to identify where there are opportunities to leverage relationships and streamline approaches. Tracks progress to goals using customer relationship management system.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or related field highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 3 years of healthcare industry sales experience, preferably with pharmaceutical or device industry background. Must understand healthcare reimbursement and contracting. Must understand the cancer/oncology market.
