What will you be doing in this role?
Our System Development Department
is looking for a Senior Business Development Consultant to join their team on a
full time basis.
Evaluating, analyzing, and making recommendations on newcomplex business development opportunities that are presented toCedars-Sinai in the form of completed business plans.
Provide business development and planning support tothe leadership across the Health System.
Assists VicePresident and Managers with ensuring quality and consistency of business plansand products presented to senior leadership and supervises business developmentstaff on assigned projects.
Other essential duties of this position:
Responsible for the facilitation and presentation of completedbusiness plans to guide and influence business leaders on businessdevelopment opportunities. This may include leading and/or facilitatingcross functional project groups, which could include senior leadership inthe organization.
Works with Cedars-Sinai staff and leadership to defineHealth System growth strategies and drive the strategic planning processfor the Health System and clinical departments.
Develop and complete sophisticated business plans byidentifying, retrieving and interpreting data. Convert data intoinformation required to make decisions on new business developmentopportunities of large scope and impact to the organization. Also, createand design new business development approaches.
Provide direction to business development staff onassigned projects; including reviewing and providing feedback on dataand/or business plans produced by staff for quality, accuracy andconsistency.
Develop detailed financial analysis, includingincome statements, cash flow analysis and balance sheets; as well as economicvaluations using standard acceptable methodologies for new and/or existingprograms, services, and healthcare technology to evaluate new businessopportunities
Bachelors degree required.
3 years of experience in planning, finance, and/orbusiness development experience in a healthcare organization or consultingorganization providing services to the healthcare industry.
Experience we are seeking:
Investment Banking or Big 4 with an interest in healthcare, who would enjoy providing input on projects presented to top levelexecutives.
Masters Degree preferred (for example, MBA, MPH or MHA)
