Do you have extensive accounting experience within a healthcare environment? Our General Accounting Team is seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst to join their team on a full time basis!
The Senior Financial Management Analyst will play an integral role in the month-end general ledger closing process and be responsible for preparing general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries when appropriate.
They will perform budget to actual variance analyses on a monthly basis prior to scheduled meetings with General Accounting Management. In addition, this role will be responsible for assisting the Associate Director with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated Financial Statements.
Play a key role in the month-end close process
Prepare both standard and non-standard journal entries to record transactions impacting the Medical Center and its affiliates
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Investigate budget to actual account balance fluctuations on a monthly basis
Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated Financial Statements
Assist with the preparation of annual audit schedules
Perform accounting research and provide guidance for the recording of significant and unusual transactions
- Bachelor Degree in accounting, Master degree preferred but not required
- CPA preferred
3-5 years accounting experience in healthcare environment or 2-3 years in public accounting
Must be detail oriented and be able to prepare various work products from the perspective of a reviewer
Must have strong computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs &/or priorities
