systems. Performs modifications to existing applications that will effectively

accomplish desired objectives. Provides advanced level expertise on

assignments/ projects. Based on deep knowledge of application and operational

requirements can translates complex operational requirement into application

functionality. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment

completion. Shares experience with other members of team. Independently manages

a portfolio of medium to large scale and complexity work projects. Performs and

monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the

CSHS EIS. Interfaces with the various teams across CSHS departments and end

user community regarding application support. Provides guidance to less

experienced staff. Helps design and code new applications. Ensures the design

and troubleshooting of interfaces is completed. Ensures the research and

documentation of product requirements is completed. Ensures the development of

product technical documentation is completed. Ensures the development and

implementation of product test plans are completed.


  • Performsadvanced level design, build and implementation assignments/ projects.Based on deep knowledge of application and operational requirements cantranslates complex requirement/concepts into functionality.

  • Initiates,facilitates or leads meetings with end-user/business owner and other EISteams

  • Maybe lead on team projects: translating customer needs, meetingdeliverables, status reporting, and managing customer relationships andexpectations.

  • Fillsin on various work/projects in the absence of the Team Lead

  • Identifiesand works through team work issues.

  • Escalateswork issues to Team Lead as needed.

  • Participatesin re-engineering of operational work-flow processes withend-users/business owners.

  • Facilitatesend-user/business owner needs into system specifications andconfiguration requirements.

  • Provideshigh-level expertise in design integration and touch points with otherEpic modules and/or other applications.

  • Leadswork groups as needed within the department or within project scope.

  • Attendsand represents unit on various Epic related committees (CCB, SFWG, OCD)

  • Assiststeam lead in developing project plans and details.

  • Manageand coordinate the more advanced configuration and buildassignments/projects in collaboration with others.

  • Provideson-call support during off hours

  • Asneeded, participates in new employee interviews and the on-boardingprocess.

  • Maycoach team members in application design build testing and other tasks;ensures adequate documentation is provided for support and end-usertraining.

  • Mayprovide day-to-day guidance to other assigned team members.

  • Maydevelop and maintain team on-call schedule, and provide 2nd-levelsupport as appropriate.

Educationalrequirements and/or preferences: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or

equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training is

required. Medical Technology or relevant license is preferred.

  • Minimumof five (5) years relevant healthcare information systems experiencerequired

  • Advancedtechnical and functional knowledge of assigned information systemsrequired

  • Strongproject management experience required

  • Strongknowledge of project management methodologies and experience managingmultiple projects

  • Exceptionalattention to detail

  • Exceptionalskill in working independently with minimal supervision and managemultiple priorities

  • Exceptionalinterpersonal skills including oral and written communications

  • Excellentanalytical and problem solving skills

May be required to participate in after hours on-call support activities
