Cedars-Sinai Simulation Health Educator - Per Diem (CPR, ACLS, or PALS instructor exp required) - Simulation Center in Los Angeles, California
Provides professional support through the coordination and delivery of a health education for all Simulation educational program(s). Schedules and presents group classes on subject areas of need for the Simulation Center. Assesses effectiveness of class / counseling content, and revises as needed. Develops, secures, and maintains any equipment or instructional materials needed to conduct classes. Assists in promoting health education components to physicians, staff, and patients through meeting presentations, printed promotional material, etc.
CPR, ACLS, or PALS Instructor experience is required
Maintains the highest standards and integrity of the programs instructed.
Coordinates the delivery of education programs under the Simulation Center. Assesses needs of class participants and modifies class content or teaching methods to meet those needs.
Coordinates the scheduling of instructors ensuring appropriate student to teacher ratio is maintained according to the training that is provided.
Arranges and coordinates room set-up and availability of materials. Transports all educational equipment and ensures all instructional equipment is functioning properly working with the Simulation Specialists.
Maintains records of training activities including attendance rosters, assignments and class evaluations. Ensures all information is entered into relevant programs to support administrative records.
Promotes and advertises all education programs externally as appropriate and following the appropriate marketing and department guidelines. Post and maintains calendar for upcoming educational events and registration.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Paramedic/RT required
Master’s Degree - Nursing, Paramedic Science, Hospital Administration, Public Health or Business Administration preferred.
California RN/Paramedic/RT License required
BLS Certification required
Life Support/Trauma/Pediatric Instructor Certifications preferred
4 years Clinical experience in Emergency Care, Trauma, Critical Care (i.e. Trauma ICU, Trauma OR, Emergency department Pre-hospital or Flight Medicine) required.
5 years Teaching classes, conducting training programs in one or more national recognized Life Support course. (i.e. TNCC, PHTLS, ACLS-EP, PALS, EPNC) and coordination of educational events required.
