What You Will Do in this Role:
Oversee Social Work staff in providing a full range of patient centered Clinical Social Work services. As part of the Outpatient Cancer Patient and Family Support Program, Clinical Social Work Services, you will assist with program planning and development and coordinating social work activities and workflows. Provides clinical social work services to patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties. Insures our patients benefit from medical, psychiatric care and any other psychosocial resourcing needed throughout their Cancer care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for continuity of care and offer full complement of Clinical Social Work Services.
Interdisciplinary discussion of psychosocial implications of illness including consultation regarding treatments and resources crafted to solve the problems of the patients.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with community health, welfare, and social agencies.
Initiates program planning and development in assigned services/ programs.
Participates in development and leadership with Department's Continuing Education. Provides leadership and direction to line staff in clinical and management issues.
As a Supervisor, your work hours will vary based on departmental needs, but in general are Monday through Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm, with On-Call availability outside of those hours.
Assist Social Work Manager to plan, lead, and direct work of staff to ensure goals and objectives are completed within established budget and timelines are met. Supervises the day-to-day work of employees, assigns work, and ensures tasks are completed. Assists with change advocacy to develop, communicate and reinforce changes in the department as well as the organization.
Master’s degree in Social Work required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required upon hire.
A minimum of 3 years' Social Work Leadership experience preferred, preferably in an acute care, palliative, hospice or Oncology setting.
A minimum of 2 years direct supervision of clinical social workers preferred.
