Cedars-Sinai Training Support Coordinator in Los Angeles, California

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

  1. Set up courses in the Learning Management system (LMS)

  2. Enter course registration data into the LM system (LMS)

  3. Enter course completion data into the LM system (LMS)

  4. Assist with conference room reservation and conference room set up

  5. Order and gather material for training courses

  6. Assist with the ordering of and acceptance of food for training classes, working with the vendor(s)

  7. Coordinate logistics for registration & training

  8. Provide training completion reports

  9. Process invoices, order supplies, track expenses

  10. Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:

  • Two years college with courses in business, accounting, computer operation and applications; or a comparable level of education, training, and experience.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

N/A

Experience:

  • Two years progressively responsible office and administrative experience.

  • Must possess an intermediate to advanced computer competency, comprised of a solid working knowledge of Windows applications or comparable systems (specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills). Must additionally possess an intermediate to advanced knowledge of e-mail, browsers and on-line reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently establish administrative and office procedures.

  • Ability to identify problems, and resourcefulness to resolve them independently and on own initiative.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish intradepartmental administrative systems and achieve orderly, accurate and timely work-flow from underlying offices and units.

  • Demonstrated ability to compose letters, policy statements, procedure manuals, and reports on own initiative.

  • Ability to organize complex statistical and narrative reports, charts, and exhibits into a complete document suitable for publication and distribution.

  • Ability to independently problem-solve and perform duties and responsibilities

  • High level of proficiency (intermediate to advanced) and demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Exel, Word, and Visio.

  • Ability to track and communicate project task and milestone deliverables

  • Ability to type proficiently (60-75 WPM).

  • Ability to edit material and ensure correct punctuation, spelling and grammar. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the organization, functions, policies and procedures of the Department, and the inter-relationship with the larger Cedars-Sinai Health System.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short time-lines, to prioritize and organize work, and to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.

  • Ability to interact effectively with Directors, Managers, patients, internal staff, and representatives of public agencies and businesses.
