You will support the physicians and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing a variety of medically related tasks.

The Patient Service Representative supports the physician and clinical staff in the delivery of health care by performing a wide range of administrative related tasks to maintain a smooth and efficient front office workflow.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients.

  • Collect co-payments/give receipts/reconcile payments/batch fee tickets.

  • Prepare charts.

  • Review patient demographics and insurance information/registration.

  • Collect co-pay/insurance cards, copying required information.

  • Manage patient flow.

  • Maintain waiting rooms.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two to five (2-5) years of experience preferred.

  • Basic computer experience.

  • Provide customer service skills.

  • Experience with heavy phone volume.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and insuranceconcepts (ability to problem solve and assist patients).

  • Ability to schedule using summary search.

  • Be able to differentiate between CSMG & amp; CSHA, HMO,PPO, and POS.

  • Experience and understanding of California work compprotocols.
