The Physician Billing Coordinator III provides coding and educational support to clinical areas in the scope of coding, reimbursement and compliance with payer coding and billing requirements. Abstracts timely and Coordinates all insurance information and the entering of all patient charges into the IDX system. Assists in the development of training programs for physician client base to increase knowledge of relationship between charge behavior, compliance and reimbursement levels.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

License/Certification Requirements:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is a plus

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an outpatient setting reviewing and interpreting patient medical records using CPT and ICD-9CM coding systems
