Cedars-Sinai Clinical Research Coordinator II, Hybrid - Dr. Salvy in West Hollywood, California

Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team conducting research related to obesity, diabetes, and cancer at the Cedars Sinai Cancer Research Center for Health Equity (CRCHE). CRCHE aims to conduct research and community outreach to reduce health disparities in underserved populations. Within CRCHE, Dr. Sarah-Jeanne Salvy is the Principal Investigator of several funded clinical trials focusing on lifestyle interventions.

We seek a CRC help coordinate and manage obesity intervention trials. The position will involve onboarding recruited participants into the active intervention and conducting behavioral counseling/coaching. The CRC will meet with participants regularly to assist them in constructing attainable goals, offer support and encouragement, track successes and setbacks, and provide resources, tips and strategies to facilitate their wellness journey. The candidate must be organized, self-motivated, self-directed, and autonomous, demonstrating independence, assertiveness, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The CRC will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other faculty members across a variety of disciplines, including psychology, cancer epidemiology, obesity and diabetes interventions and biostatistics.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavioral counseling/coaching with enrolled participants.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation (I.e. assessments, participant notes using REDCap)

  • Assist with the development and implementation of study protocols.

  • Monitor data and intervention dosage, fidelity and quality.

  • Contribute to- or lead peer-review manuscripts (based on interest).

Hiring qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • 2 years Clinical research related experience required

  • Organized, self-motivated with great interpersonal and communications skills; attention to detail; Excellent communication, writing and typing skills (spelling, grammar, syntax)

  • Experience in behavioral counseling and/or lifestyle coaching

Preferred qualifications:

  • BA or BS in psychology, counseling, nutrition or related degree.
